Sea Kings Reign Over Sailors
On a chilly evening at Davidson Field, junior midfielder Michael Keasey brought the heat in the form of three goals and junior goalie Michael Ortlieb was brilliant between the pipes to lead the Sea Kings (3-1) to an 8-3 victory over Newport Harbor. CDM jumped out to a 4-0 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Junior midfielder and face-off specialist Taylor Epp was dominant, allowing the Sea Kings to control possessions for the majority of the evening. Senior defenseman Donald Dalton led the defense with an awesome performance, capped off by a coast to coast goal in the fourth quarter. Despite being man-down seven times, and two men down twice, the Sea King defense refused to yield an extra man goal to the Sailors.
The win was the Sea Kings third of the season and sixth in a row over Newport Harbor.
